Apple CarPlay® is the smart way to use your iPhone in your Ram Brand vehicle. Get directions with Apple® Maps, listen to Apple Music®, make calls, send messages and more - all through the Connect touchscreen or with your voice through Siri®.

ANDROID AUTO™ COMPATIBILITY

Talk to Google with Android Auto compatibility and get things done with your voice so you can keep your focus on driving. Easily send messages, get directions, control media and more. Just say, “Hey Google” or, in compatible vehicles, long press the voice control button on your steering wheel to get started.

Hands-Free Calling

Hands-Free Calling allows you to make and receive calls or listen to and respond to text messages without taking your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.

DIGITAL KEY

Leave keys and key fobs behind—with the All-New 2025 Ram 1500, owners can simply add an available digital key to a compatible iPhone® or Apple Watch® to access and start their truck without removing the smartphone from their pocket

Digital keys can be shared with other compatible Apple® devices, while the owner retains full control over access. A near field communication based smart card is also included as a backup and can be used to unlock and start the truck, providing additional convenience to your Ram Brand truck.

RAM BRAND APPLE CARPLAY® SUPPORT AND ANDROID AUTO COMPATIBILITY FAQ

If your vehicle has a Uconnect® 5 system, Apple CarPlay® support and Android Auto compatibility is included. Select Uconnect 4 systems (those with a 7-inch, 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen) also include Apple CarPlay support and Android Auto compatibility. Older Uconnect systems (model year 2016 and earlier) do not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

If your Uconnect® system includes Apple CarPlay® support, you do not need to take any special steps to access CarPlay; simply connect your iPhone and your Uconnect system will do the rest.

If your Uconnect® system includes Android Auto compatibility and you are running version 10 of the Android™ OS, you do not need to take any special steps to access Android Auto; simply connect your smartphone and your Uconnect system will do the rest. If your smartphone is running the Android 9 OS or below, you will need to install the Android Auto app on your smartphone to connect to your Uconnect system.

If your vehicle has a Uconnect® 5 system, you can access Apple CarPlay® support or Android Auto compatibility Wireless Connectivity by connecting your smartphone to your Uconnect system through the USB port. If your vehicle has a Uconnect 4 system that supports Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can access features by connecting your smartphone to the USB port.

Yes, if you have a Uconnect® 5 system you can access Apple CarPlay® support or Android Auto compatibility wirelessly through Wireless Connectivity. Unfortunately, Uconnect 4 systems do not offer wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatibility.
